Completing Member Onboarding
What onboarding is, who has to do it, and when your association's portal opens.
The first time you use an association's member portal you complete a short onboarding: the profile questions your association chose to collect. It only happens once per association.
Who has to do it
Everyone. Members, administrators, and the person who created the association all complete onboarding before using the portal. The admin panel is separate and is never blocked by it.
When does the portal open?
A new association's portal opens for everyone as soon as its administrators finish the required setup steps in the Setup Guide (association profile, portal settings, membership form fields, approval settings, and policy documents). Once open, it stays open. Until then, anyone who signs in sees a "not open yet" page that updates by itself.
